A Creative Mind in a Technical World
My name is Ivan, and I began my career as a graphic designer. While I loved the artistic aspects of my work, I soon realized it lacked the challenge I was seeking. Determined to explore new opportunities, I found myself at Fontys University in Eindhoven, where I witnessed something truly inspiring: robots playing soccer. That remarkable sight opened my eyes to a whole new realm of possibilities and led me to a career shift.
In 2012, I decided to pursue a new path as a software engineer, a decision I have never regretted. Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for programming, specializing in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) by Sigmatek. Using the structured text programming language, I’ve been able to write object-oriented code that’s clean, efficient, and highly organized.
My background in graphic design has been an incredible asset when developing HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems. With the wide variety of HMI formats, creating visually appealing and functional icons is essential. Instead of outsourcing this design work, which can be time-consuming and costly, I’ve been able to leverage my skills to design and implement projects with the desired aesthetics and efficiency. This unique combination of technical expertise and creative vision allows me to deliver complete solutions that stand out.
Even today, I continue to enjoy my work as a software engineer, blending my creative roots with the technical challenges I thrive on. It’s been an exciting and fulfilling journey, one that reflects my adaptability and my love for innovation.
I look forward to collaborating with you and making great strides together.
